Home Security -
- Leave your front porch light on at night.
- Get a home security system with an alarm.
- Etch your Texas driver license number on items of value like electronics, so if they are stolen and recovered, the police know it's yours, it also makes it harder to sell.
- Don't hide your keys around the yard or in hide-a-keys, burglars know all those tricks already.
- Use lighting and/or motion detection lights to make sure there are no dark areas around your house.
- Make sure your windows and doors are always locked.
- Lock your vehicle.
- Don't leave valuables in your vehicle.
